Our Church History
The original church started in the Mullins School. It was served by a circuit preacher, and was called the Methodist Episcopal Church South.

The original land was deeded to the church on September 14, 1887 by Mrs. Eliza Daniels. A church building was constructed in 1887 - a one room, frame building with high ceilings, plaster and wainscoting on the walls, and a rough plank floor. A "potbellied" stove and kerosene lamps provided heat and light.

Services were held once a month by the Circuit Preacher. He came by train on Saturday morning, held services on Saturday evening, Sunday morning and evening then returned to the parsonage at Visalia on Monday.

A new church building was stated with the first service held in the basement on December 13, 1961. Services wereheld in the basement until the latter part of 1971.

A homecoming, involving all former ministers, was held may 21, 1972.

The present sanctuary was dedicated in November 1974 accompanied by the burning of the mortgage.

On July 27, 2008 a groundbreaking ceremony was held to begin construction on the Fellowship Hall.

On May 17, 2009 the dedication ceremony was held for the new Fellowship Hall.
